Robert Ethridge used his experience from working in an Elberton Georgia granite quarry to begin installing monuments in 1949. After a few years Ethridge Monument Company was his full time job. He left the quarry to pursue his growing business full time. Sixty five years later we reflect on what Mr. Ethridge accomplished in Greenwood SC. He served families from of a small granite block building that still stands today. The business grew to support 11 employees at one time. The Gaulden family partnered with the Ethridge family in 2000 to continue the tradition of family service. Today we are proud to offer the highest quality personal memorials to Greenwood, Ninety Six, Abbeville, McCormick, Saluda, Cross Hill, Ware Shoals, Laurens, Clinton and the surrounding community. We still take time to meet families on a personal level and care for the needs of those in our community.
