Coleman Eye Center has one mission: to improve the vision and protect the eyes of our patients.

We are a comprehensive eye care provider, able to enhance the vision of our patients through eye surgeries like cataract surgery and laser vision correction (LASIK), and also diagnosing and treating eye diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. Coleman Eye Center also treats a wide range of conditions that cause irritation and discomfort on the ocular surface such as dry eye syndrome, allergies, and blepharitis. We make glasses every day in our full service optical lab where we perform our own finishing and fitting, usually having patients in their new glasses in an hour or two. We fit all the major brands of contact lenses and have a wide range of sunglasses available. Our doctors perform eye surgeries in our state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center adjacent to our main office, allowing our patients to avoid hospital admission and general anesthesia, and providing the ultimate experience in convenience and rapid recovery.

🌟 Staff Spotlight: Nikki Hoover 🌟

Meet Nikki Hoover, one of our amazing Surgical Technologists here at Coleman Eye Center! Nikki has been part of the CEC family for 4 ½ years, and she loves the continuous learning she gets to experience in both the clinic and surgery. She says what makes CEC so special is that “we are one big family!” 💙

Outside of work, Nikki loves spending time with her husband of almost 5 years (together for 12!) and their two sweet boys, John Haidyn (4) and Holden (2). They are her pride and joy! 🥰

Fun fact: Nikki has a soft spot for small farm animals—she enjoys caring for her chickens, ducks, guineas, and even her pig every day! 🐔🦆🐷

When she’s not busy helping patients, you can find her relaxing with her favorite movies. She’s a huge fan of both Halloween 🎃 (Hocus Pocus) and Christmas 🎄 (How the Grinch Stole Christmas).

One of Nikki’s favorite verses is:
“God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at the break of day.” – Psalm 46:5 ✨

👁️🤒 Pink Eye (Conjunctivitis) – What You Need to Know

Conjunctivitis, often called pink eye, is a common eye condition that causes:
🔹 Redness
🔹 Itching or burning
🔹 Tearing or discharge
🔹 A gritty or “something in the eye” feeling

It can be caused by viruses, bacteria, allergies, or irritants—and while some cases clear up on their own, others may need treatment.

👉 If you or your child develop symptoms of pink eye, it’s important to get checked so we can determine the cause and recommend the right care.

💡 Tip: Always wash your hands and avoid touching or rubbing your eyes to help prevent spreading it!
