We had an incredible time at today’s staff appreciation event, featuring the always-delicious Spinx Cluk Truk! It’s always special when we get the chance to celebrate our amazing team and connect across departments that don’t often get to work side-by-side. The greens are rolling smooth today. ⛳️

Our residents are channeling their inner Jack Nicklaus on the 9-hole indoor putt-putt course, courtesy of Rolling Greens Mobile Mini Golf.

Once the final putt drops, we’ll gather at the “clubhouse” for some classic golf course bites and a round of refreshing Arnold Palmers. Just another tee-rific day at Wesley Commons.

Great music speaks to the soul.

It was a real pleasure to welcome 2020 American Idol contestant and singer-songwriter Lauren Mascitti to campus for an intimate concert and meet & greet with our residents. She shared a mix of her original songs, country favorites, and a few gospel tunes that helped shape her into the artist she is today.

Sunday 10:30 AM – Garden Tours & Storm Update

Well, Mother Nature had other plans for us today! A strong, fast-moving storm rolled through last night, bringing down several trees along Marshall Road and briefly knocking out power across much of the campus. Thankfully, power was quickly restored in most areas, but a few of our surrounding neighborhoods — and even some of our hardworking team — are still without power this morning.

A few of those folks were set to help with today’s South Carolina Festival of Flowers Garden Tours, and with the forecast calling for more possible storms, we’ve made the tough call to cancel today’s tours out of an abundance of caution for our residents, staff, and visitors.

But don’t worry — we’re ending on a high note! Yesterday’s Garden Tours event was a smashing success, full of color, smiles, and sunshine. We’re so thankful for everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special.

While we may not be able to walk the gardens together today, we’ve got extra photos from yesterday to share — just a little something to tide you over until next year. And trust us... next year’s going to be even bigger and better!

Stay safe, stay dry, and thanks for being part of such a blooming beautiful event!

5:00 PM — What a day!

The sun was blazing, but thankfully that breeze rolled in right when we needed it most. We’re tired. You’re tired. But the day’s not over just yet—we’re off to Topiaries, Tastings & Tunes at the South Carolina Festival of Flowers for a well-earned nightcap and a little fun to wrap things up. Dinner’s calling, and something tells us we’ll all sleep well tonight.

We’ll be back at it tomorrow afternoon for Day 2 of the Garden Tours, and we can’t wait to welcome even more guests.

2:00 PM — Four hours into Day 1 of the South Carolina Festival of Flowers Garden Tours and we’re having a blast!

We’re always proud of our campus, but today, the spotlight belongs to our resident volunteers—the true rockstars behind our beautiful Community Garden and interior atrium garden. The time, care, and heart they pour into these spaces is absolutely invaluable, and wow, do they have everything looking incredible again this year!

We’d be remiss not to shout out our stellar Grounds Team, too. While they’re enjoying a well-deserved day off, their year-round work keeps our entire campus looking polished and visitor-ready. Big thanks as well to our Grounds Manager, Jonathan Finley, who is on-site today answering questions—especially about the newly updated Bristol Court Garden. If you have any feedback or compliments, be sure to share them with him. We love hearing what you think!
