We are honoring Julian “Jay” Nexsen, Jr. as he retires from the GGC Board after 20 years of service!

Big newborn screening news!

Thanks to the efforts of many advocates — including our very own Dr. Francyne Kubaski — metachromatic leukodystrophy (MLD) has been added to the Recommended Uniform Screening Panel (RUSP), along with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. It is now recommended that all states add these conditions to their newborn screening panels - expanding early detection and hope for families nationwide. 💛
