Gloria Gilliam, Saluda Elementary Teacher, shared her talent with our individuals to enhance their artistic abilities. She patiently guided everyone in painting a fruit basket. Individuals also enjoyed sipping juice and eating the fruit that is featured in their paintings.

The Saluda Day Program Music Club 🎶 attended a musical performance by Columbia's Chris Reed at The Mill on Main in Saluda. They had the opportunity to learn various styles of music while enjoying songs from 1950, 1960, and 1970.

We are so thankful for Erica and all she does for the Burton Center!

Last night, Greenwood County Council issued a proclamation honoring Erica Brown for her heroic actions on July 1, 2025.

While driving a Burton Center bus, Ms. Brown noticed smoke coming from the vehicle. Acting quickly, she stopped the bus and safely evacuated all passengers before it burst into flames. Because of her bravery and quick thinking, everyone made it out safely with no injuries.
