Please join us in congratulating Charity Eck, Human Resources Business Partner at Brown County Health & Living, on an incredible 45 years with CarDon!

Charity began working with us in environmental services on weekends, where she then advanced to Environmental Services Supervisor. In 2004, she embraced a new opportunity and transitioned into HR, a role she has flourished in ever since. While reflecting on her time with CarDon, Charity said, “I have worked closely with several of the owners throughout my tenure with the company, and I feel they are very family oriented. I have seen many changes in the senior living community over the years. It is not just a place to come for the end of life. It’s a place to come for new beginnings. I’ve always loved the home-like atmosphere of Brown County Health & Living." Congratulations, Charity, and thank you for your dedication to the CarDon family!

We had an absolute blast putting on our Duck-tona event for our team! Select team members hid rubber ducks all over the building, each duck associated with points and prizes! This idea was inspired by Wisconsin’s Annual Duck-tona 500 event held in Sheboygan Falls where they race 4,500 ducks down their river. How fun! And thank you to Kopetsky Auto Wash for their donation of 25 free car washes!

We passed out California rolls (cucumber, avocado, crab) in honor of National Sushi Day and it was surprising how many residents have never had sushi. Take Bob, for example, who is 100 years old and just tried it for the first time – and liked it! He was one of the few who did, haha! Just a great reminder that it’s never too late to try something new.
