A joyous celebration is in order as we commemorate Joyce Bertram 100th birthday!

This is an exceptional landmark, and we're honored to share this special occasion with her. Throughout her long and fulfilling life, Joyce has consistently demonstrated an extraordinary capacity to fully embrace each passing moment. She found love and companionship when she married in 1944, embarking on a remarkable journey with her husband that lasted an impressive 68 years.

Joyce is a loving and devoted mother to her three children: her daughter, Julie, and her twin sons, Jeff and Jerry. A significant and cherished chapter of her life was spent at the lake, where she resided for two decades. She fondly reminisces about fishing with her beloved husband, Julian, and considers those years among the most treasured of her life.

Furthermore, Joyce was an active and dedicated member of the First Baptist Church, finding community and spiritual nourishment there. In her professional life, Joyce made a positive impact working in the school cafeteria, where she served the children with care.

Her personal philosophy is beautifully encapsulated in her favorite quote: "live life as it comes."

For the past four years, Joyce has been a resident at Greenwood Meadows, where she actively participates in various activities, including playing cards and enjoying game shows, keeping her mind sharp and her spirits high. She particularly shows appreciation for her nurse Dolly at Greenwood Meadows. Joyce never imagined reaching this extraordinary milestone of a century.

Reflecting on the past, she recalls purchasing her first house for the unbelievable price of just $4,500, with a mortgage of a mere $45, and a water bill that was a mere $1.25.

While the world around her has undergone immense transformations, Joyce's kind and loving heart has remained a constant, shining brightly through the years.
