I’ll let you in on a secret… if we had a family verse this would be it. And let me share why: Because you cannot think two things at once.
Whatever is true.
Whatever is honorable.
Whatever is just.
Whatever is pure.
Whatever is lovely.
Whatever is commendable.
You cannot rehearse fear and rehearse truth at the same time. You cannot sit in gratitude and spiral in comparison at the same time. You cannot meditate on what is lovely and magnify what is lacking at the same time.
Your mind will think about something. You get to choose what fills it. Philippians 4:8 is not just encouragement. It is strategy.
When life feels loud, heavy, or uncertain, we come back here.
Think on these things.
