👋 New here? Let us introduce the one and only Dr. Dee Bonney

Dr. Dee Bonney trained at Indiana University School of Medicine, graduated dual board-certified in Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics, and spent decades working as an ER doc around Indy.

After watching too many patients survive emergencies but never truly recover, he shifted focus to brain health and psychedelic medicine.

Same medical rigor. Same safety standards. Just applied earlier in the problem, when people are stuck, burnt out, and running on fumes instead of waiting for a crisis.

Fun Fact: he saw Steve Irwin do a live croc feeding in Australia 🐊

“I felt like myself for once in a long while.”

It’s a powerful thing to feel yourself again to wake up with energy, to move through the day with lightness instead of weight.

After just 3 ketamine infusions, he began noticing the change: more motivation, less anxiety, and a renewed sense of purpose.

Healing isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about finding your way back to who you’ve always been.

If sitting is the new smoking.
Your brain is paying the price, not your lungs.

• 20-minute walk outside → boosts BDNF, improving mood, focus, and memory within hours

• 10 bodyweight squats every hour you sit → increases blood flow to the brain, improves insulin sensitivity, supports energy and attention

You don’t always need a full workout.
but you do need breaks from stillness.

Got your alarms set??

If changing your thoughts were easy, everyone would’ve done it by now.

This page shows something most people were never taught:
Your brain isn’t one voice.

It’s a system.
• The amygdala scans for threat and reacts fast
• The prefrontal cortex plans, reasons, and regulates
• The anterior cingulate helps shift attention
• The basal ganglia runs habits on autopilot
• The hippocampus links memory and mood

So when someone says,
“I know better, but I can’t do better,” believe them.
Their brain isn’t broken.
It’s overwhelmed.

👉 Support the brain.
👉 Restore regulation.
🏁 Start here (polyvagal tools):
• Slow your exhale longer than your inhale
• Add rhythm (walking, rocking, gentle movement)
• Ground with temperature (warm hands, cool face)
• Use safe connection (voice, music, eye contact)

These signals tell the nervous system:
“I’m safe right now.”

And when the nervous system feels safe, brain health improves
and change stops feeling like a fight.

IV ketamine therapy isn’t a mood booster.
(Your mood can improve because you’re no longer carrying the same emotional weight.)
It’s not a shortcut.
It’s a medically supervised intervention designed to support neuroplasticity so lasting change becomes possible.

There isn’t a traditional “withdrawal” concern with IV ketamine therapy. It doesn’t activate the reward system in the way medications associated with dependence do, so stopping isn’t the issue people often assume it is.

Medical supervision matters. Absolutely.

But the level of stigma around ketamine and psychedelic medicine? That’s outdated. 😵‍💫🤯 listen to my growl again if needed 😆

Education beats fear every time.

And survey says my text is too fast so here it is:

Some medications help by turning the volume down.
Anxiety? ⬇️Sadness? ⬇️Stress? ⬇️

Helpful in a crisis. Not the same as healing.

This is usually what people mean:
Medications like benzodiazepines can be appropriate short-term tools.Symptom loud? → Turn volume down.

But long-term?They often numb symptomsinstead of resolving the cause.

This isn’t daily dosing.This isn’t numbing.This isn’t euphoria.

This is about brain change.

When the brain becomes flexible:• new pathways form• old loops loosen• behavior change sticks
You don’t escape your patterns. You outgrow them.

This work doesn’t help you check out.
It helps you check in.With less fear. With more clarity.

This isn’t anti-medication.This isn’t magic.And it’s definitely not about euphoria.
It’s about healing instead of hiding. And helping your brain learn a new way forward.

First fail of 2026? We’ll go first…
We were very excited about these. 43 pages of integration goodness for our new Brain Health Reboot program for IV ketamine patients.

What showed up?
✔️ Correct cover
❌ Lined notebook paper inside

So… a very professional-looking journal. Not exactly the plan. Moral of the story: always read the fine print. 🤦🏻‍♀️😬

Celebrate trying as much as succeeding. Correct ones reordered! Any fails to celebrate for you yet??

This is exactly why one infusion isn’t the plan.
The first session shows us how your brain responds.

The following sessions are where consistency, momentum, and change happen. Plus all that integration work you’re doing at home 😉

That’s why initial treatment is a series of six, not one and done.

Jokes on you! We don’t run Google ads. 🙄🤣

Do we love paying for ads? No.
Do we love more people finding real help instead of just coping with their mental health for another decade?
Yes.

Awareness costs money.
Silence costs people years of their life.

If investing in ads means someone finally understands their brain, their options, and their next step, we’ll keep doing it.
We’re not gambling on attention.
We’re investing in outcomes.
That trade makes sense to us. 🤷🏻‍♀️

“I started seeing lightness.”

At first, everything felt dark and heavy. After a few ketamine infusions, that started to change. The darkness didn’t disappear overnight, but things began to feel lighter and more manageable.

Progress can be slow, but even small changes can mean a lot.

Winter Intern wants to know if you’re taking care of your brain this season…or just white-knuckling it until spring.

A few simple ways to support brain health during the darker months:
• Vitamin D3 + K to support mood and immune health
• Daily body movement (nothing extreme, consistency wins)
• Reducing high-inflammation foods and alcohol
• Prioritizing sleep and light exposure
• And for some, a ketamine booster can help maintain momentum if bad days start out numbering good days.

Winter has a way of magnifying what we’ve been pushing down. Don’t let it.

“I feel so much lighter."

For her, this wasn’t just another appointment it was a shift.
A feeling of mental clarity returning.
Energy coming back.
The heavy fog finally starting to lift.

She came in looking for relief, and after just her second infusion, she began noticing changes she hadn’t felt in years. Not forced. Not numbed. Just lighter.

As we enter a new year, stories like hers remind us that healing doesn’t always take years sometimes it starts sooner than expected, especially when the right treatment meets the right care.

If 2026 is the year you choose to focus on your mental health, know that real change is possible and you don’t have to do it alone

Maybe an unpopular opinion.
As an ER doctor, I was trained for the emergency.
Not for “hope nothing goes wrong.”

Ketamine didn’t suddenly become unsafe.
The delivery model changed.
At-home ketamine sounds convenient.
But convenience is not a safety plan.

In medicine, we don’t ask:
“Will this probably be fine?”
We ask:
“What happens if it’s not?”

Because when ketamine is on board:
• blood pressure can change
• nausea or vomiting can happen
• panic or dissociation can escalate
• dosing mistakes matter

At home, there’s no team.
No monitoring.
No immediate intervention.
That’s why we have an ER physician and/or paramedic on site at all times.

This isn’t anti-ketamine. It’s pro-oversight.
Before you choose at-home ketamine, ask:
Who’s watching?
Who intervenes?
What’s the plan if your body responds differently than expected? Medicine shouldn’t rely on luck.
It should rely on systems.
