We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Patient Support Technician (PST) to join our inpatient rehabilitation team at our hospital. In this full-time role, you will play a vital part in supporting patients as they recover from injury, illness, or surgery, helping them regain independence in a healing and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and mobility
• Support nursing staff and therapists with patient care and rehabilitation activities
• Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and patient status as directed
• Safely transfer and reposition patients using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment
• Respond promptly to patient call lights and requests
• Provide compassionate emotional support to patients and families
• Follow all hospital policies, safety guidelines, and infection control procedures

Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required
• CPR certified
• Previous experience in healthcare, rehabilitation, or patient care preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to assist with patient mobility and transfers

Schedule
• Full-time night position; Three 12-hour shifts per week
• Rotating weekends and holidays are required

Recently, we had the privilege of caring for a patient who came to CRHS after surviving a stroke. A lifelong ballroom dancer, he brought his passion for dance into therapy—spending sessions practicing a variety of ballroom steps along the way. When he arrived, he required the assistance of two people for all ADLs and transfers. By discharge, he was fully independent with ADLs, stairs, and mobility—without the use of an assistive device. An incredible journey of resilience, dedication, and movement. 💃🕺
