Mike came to Community Rehab after surgery and made the decision to get an early start on his recovery by learning to use his prosthetic. After receiving a new prosthetic, he chose to continue his stay for specialized post-prosthetic training.

During his time with us, Mike worked hard to improve his standing balance, body mechanics, functional mobility, and skills like safely putting on and removing his prosthetic. By the end of his stay, he was independently completing his daily activities and even preparing his own meals.

Now, he’s ready to get back to doing what he loves—fishing! 🎣 We’re proud of all the hard work he put in and wish him the very best on his continued journey.

CRHS hosted its April Stroke Support Group, and we had our highest attendance in the past four years!

In recognition of April being OT Month and May being Mental Health Awareness Month, we combined both themes into a “Coping Strategies After Stroke” group.

It was a wonderful session, and everyone truly enjoyed it 😊
