ABA stands for Applied Behavior Analysis. ABA therapy is an effective therapy for children on the autism spectrum. Our therapists will use the principles of ABA therapy to analyze behavior, including environmental influences and how behavior is reinforced. ABA therapy is useful for shaping speech and language, appropriate social skills, activities of daily living, academic skills, and more. ABA therapy can be intensive. Programs may range from 3 hours per week up to 40 hours per week. In-network insurance reimbursement is an option through Anthem at this time. Services provided to families:
Speech Language Pathology
Collaborating for Kids provides speech and language services, which may address articulation, phonological disorders, language impairments or delays, apraxia, dysarthria, feeding and swallowing disorders, and others. We also specialize in providing services for children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Therapy for children with an ASD will consist of working on speech and/or augmentative communication (i.e. PECS, speech output device, sign language) as well as building social skills. Occupational Therapy
Our occupational therapists strive to make therapy engaging and fun through interactive play activities and a family-based treatment approach. The team of occupational therapists is skilled in Neuro-developmental treatment, sensory integration, Beckman's oral motor approach, car seat safety, feeding, handwriting, aquatic therapy, and more.
