Current Greenville County Shelters:
There are several warming shelters that will be open throughout the week if temperatures get below 40 degrees and will extend operating hours if outdoor conditions become unsafe:
-Greenville Rescue Mission: 575 West Washington St., Greenville, SC 29601 (Men only)
-Miracle Hill Shepherd's Gate: 11 Regency Hill Dr., Greenville, SC 29607 (Women and children only)
-The Salvation Army will be opening the dining hall at 417 Rutherford Street as a charging/warming station Saturday through Tuesday around our resident meal service.
10:00 AM – 11:45 AM
1:00 PM – 4:45 PM
Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday (if needed). We will pass out blankets – one per person until we run out.
The Salvation Army also has 20 slots for men and 6 slots for women in the cold weather shelters. Those in need can show up for placement as needed. Meals, bed, blanket and basic case management will be provided.
-We are coordinating with our partners to open additional shelter within the county. As more information becomes available, we will be posting additional information.
