It’s not often that Johanna, one of our Care Facilitators, meets folks who love The Ohio State University Buckeyes like she does….🏈 ❤️🩶

So it meant so much to have the opportunity for the team at VCare Hospice to partner with Summit Place Assisted Living to honor Mr. Tom as their Tree of Dreams Resident!

Mr. Tom is easy to love and all who meet him, adore him.
And though his Dementia was stealing so much from him, it hasn’t stolen his love for Buckeye Football! 🏈 OH-IO

And what better way to honor our Ohio State Buckeyes loving patient, than to throw him a Buckeye Birthday Bash to celebrate him turning 70! 🥳

And then some extra icing on the cake when 4 days later the Buckeyes played for the National Championship and WON 🙌🏻❤️🩶 🏈 Mr. Tom will be smiling big tomorrow 😁

It is an honor that we get to see this quote lived out for our patients every day…..

“You matter because you are you, and you matter to the end of your life. We will do all we can, not only to help you die peacefully, but also to live until you die.” 💜💚

”Look for the Helpers. You will always find people helping.” ~ Mr. Rogers

This morning VCare Hospice co-sponsored Coffee, Bagels and Charging with Cancer Association of Anderson 💜💚 and it was the best day!

Wade and I had the wonderful conversations with patients and volunteers for CAA. It was an extra blessed, fun morning with the coolest people helping others and making an impact daily for those around them ❤️

They have so many families that need their help and services everyday; but today, a patient called needing help because a tree that had had fallen in the storm, broke her window, and she was afraid something was going to come inside with her. 💔

I’m sure Wade had no idea what I was going to volunteer to get us in to today, but when he arrived, he jumped right in and we set out to be a blessing and ended up the ones that felt blessed. 💜💚 And met Elvis while picking up supplies 🤣

We are so blessed to be a part of the vCare Hospice Family and give back to our Community. 💜💚
