There’s a lot of deceit floating around these days, and not many truth-seekers willing to call it out. Over the weekend, a video hit the air showing ICE agents dragging a woman from a car who defied lawful instructions. The distraught lady screamed she was “disabled” and “autistic.” That’s all the TV propagandists had to hear! Full steam ahead.
Turns out the woman is a far-left activist who tried to set up the federal agents.
No apology from the dishonest TV people.
Then there was the 60 Minutes story on the Trump administration deporting migrants to a dangerous prison in El Salvador. CBS News used a spokesman from “Human Rights Watch,” a far-left group funded by radicals like George Soros. But 60 Minutes failed to mention that. Why? Because it would have cast doubt on its narrative: migrants good, Trump bad.
As it turned out, the Rights Watch guy said only 3 percent of the deported migrants were criminals. Preposterous and CBS had to know it because on the same day, its correspondent Margaret Brennan put forth that 40 percent of undocumented immigrants in custody have criminal involvement.
We are living in a dishonest time. The media leads the way on that.
