set STANDARDS, not GOALS
Taking time to be outside boosts your physical and mental health even when it's hot, humid, rainy, and even when you're tired. 🤔
set STANDARDS, not GOALS
If you want to be HAPPIER?
Standard: Journal gratitude for 5 minutes each day.
15 pounds LIGHTER?
Standard: Don't drink sweetened beverages.
LIFT a certain amount?
Standard: go to the gym x number of times a week.
STOP eating GARBAGE?
Standard: don't eat fast food.
READ more?
Standard: read for 10 mins each day before bed/on my lunch break/when I wake up.
Two standards I have....
1. No coffee before greens. I couldn't feel my toes and I felt weak, lethargic and depleted. My goal is to feel more vitality and vibrance.
2. Pilates twice a week. I have ruptured discs in my back and Pilates is more fun than PT and injections. My goal is to have less pain and exercise more.
You can change your standards to be higher over time.
