Connection, communication, and a little bit of fun.

Sometimes couples don’t need a crisis to seek support—
They just miss feeling close.

Many couples we work with want:

This 3-hour mini-retreat for couples is designed to help you slow down and reconnect.

As both a couples therapist and yoga teacher*, Erin will guide you through a unique blend of:
• simple communication exercises
• connection practices
• mindfulness
• a small amount of gentle yoga

No yoga experience needed.
The yoga will be light, accessible, and just one part of the experience.

Leave with practical tools, fresh insight, and meaningful time together.

We’re really excited to offer this new service at ROOT.

Many of our clients struggle with symptoms like inattention, distractibility, anxiety, or intrusive thoughts. And the truth is, those symptoms can come from a lot of different places.

Sometimes they’re protective patterns our nervous system learned in order to survive difficult experiences.

Other times, they may be connected to physiology, brain chemistry, or neurotransmitter balance.

And often… it’s a combination of both.

At ROOT, we believe the best care looks at the whole picture — not just the symptoms.

That’s why our licensed pharmacist, Angela, now offers a 30-minute ADHD & OCD Neurotransmitter Support Consultation.

During this consultation, she will evaluate factors that may influence attention, impulse control, intrusive thoughts, and anxiety, and provide a personalized plan that may include:

• targeted supplement recommendations
• dosing and timing guidance
• lifestyle strategies that support neurotransmitter balance
• lab recommendations (when appropriate)
• safety guidance if you are also using prescription medications

Our goal is always to support healing from the inside out.

We do not accept insurance so applicants need to already be private pay or be willing to leave panels (fee adjustments can be made for current clients if you stop taking their insurance). They can keep the peace, stay quiet, smooth things over, push their feelings down, and hold everything together on the outside.

But calm without safety isn’t regulation.
It’s survival.

Real nervous system healing happens when the mind and the body are both involved. When you can understand your story and help your body learn that it’s finally safe to soften.

So many of us are stuck in survival mode and don’t even realize it. In today’s world, being busy and productive has been glorified. Even when we’re not doing tasks, we’re taking in constant information. Constant stimulation.

The problem is, when your body stays in fight-or-flight too long, it struggles to repair, digest, regulate hormones, and fully rest.

Sometimes it looks like:

• Trouble sleeping even when exhausted
• Snapping at people you love
• Brain fog
• Feeling on edge for no clear reason
• Being productive all day but unable to relax at night
• Always waiting for the next thing to go wrong

One small thing you can try today/tonight to shift your body out of survival mode:

Put one hand on your chest and one on your stomach.
Take 10 slow breaths.
Make your exhale slightly longer than your inhale.

That longer exhale signals safety to your nervous system.

It seems simple. You might think, “I know I’m safe.” But it’s likely that your nervous system doesn’t. In our busy world we have to be intentional about creating moments of calmness and presence.

Brainspotting is a powerful, brain-based therapy that helps your nervous system process experiences that talk therapy alone sometimes can’t reach. Instead of just analyzing what happened, we gently access where it’s stored in the body and allow the brain to do what it’s designed to do — heal. It’s especially helpful for trauma, anxiety, and those patterns that feel stuck no matter how much insight you have.
