Nearly eight years ago, during my third pregnancy, I started Body Works Women’s Health & Wellness with one mission: to educate, equip, and empower women in the Upstate of South Carolina.
The pain and frustrations that led me here stemmed from my previous pregnancies—experiences I learned were common, but not normal. Like so many women, I hadn’t been told that better care and better outcomes were possible. I knew I had to change that and share this knowledge with others.
What began as a solo practice quickly grew as the need for women’s pelvic health services expanded. I stepped away from clinical care to focus on building the business, and over time, Body Works became a trusted name because of the relationships we built and the consistent, high-quality care we provided.
Around three years ago, I welcomed our fourth child. As our family grew and we began homeschooling four years ago, I spent much time in prayer seeking wisdom for the future of Body Works. While I was able to make both work, I knew I wasn’t giving 100% to either my family or the business.
Over seven years ago, I met Paul Hecker at a wellness event—never imagining that meeting would come full circle. As I prayed about next steps, Paul’s name continued to come to mind. After many thoughtful conversations, it became clear that Elite Integrated Therapy Centers was the right company to partner with Body Works Women’s Health & Wellness.
Elite is a leader in our community, deeply values both patients and employees, and treats their team like family—values that align perfectly with the heart of Body Works.
I’m excited to share that Body Works will continue to deliver the same exceptional care you know and trust — now powered by Elite Integrated Therapy Centers. The mission remains the same, and the future is incredibly bright.
