🎄Thoughtful Thursday🎄

Here at Wren, love is at the heart of everything we do.

This season reminds us that the greatest gift we can offer is compassion- shared in quiet moments, listening ears, and comforting presence.

Today, may love surround you and those you hold dear.🎄

🇺🇸 Remembering Pearl Harbor – December 7, 1941 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to honor the lives lost and all those forever changed on this day 84 years ago. The attack on Pearl Harbor was a moment that reshaped history, reminding us of the cost of freedom and the courage of those who answered the call in its aftermath.

Let us never forget the bravery, the sacrifice, and the resilience of the Greatest Generation.

May we carry their legacy forward with gratitude and purpose.

“A date which will live in infamy.” – Franklin D. Roosevelt🇺🇸

🎄Thoughtful Thursday🎄

This season, we’re reminded that the smallest acts of kindness can bring the greatest comfort.

At Wren, every gesture- every hand held, every moment shared- matters.

May we all find ways to offer a little extra love and light today.🎄

🍁Thankful Thursday🍁

Gratitude often shows up in the smallest moments – a shared smile, a comforting touch, a story retold. These moments don’t erase the difficult times, but they can bring a bit of light into tender days.

It is Wren’s deepest desire to help patients and their families find that light in the midst of those difficult times.

May gratitude fill you with wonder today.🍁

🍁Thankful Thursday🍁

At Wren, gratitude isn’t just a feeling—it’s a daily practice.

It’s in the gentle touch, the listening ear, and the comforting words shared with patients and families.

As the quote reminds us: “Gratitude is what you feel. Thanksgiving is what you do.”

In this National Hospice and Palliative Care Month we honor our staff and volunteers who turn thankfulness into compassionate care every day.🍁

💙Nurse Practitioner Week Spotlight💙

Charity Barrett, NP was born in England (and proudly identifies as a military brat!) but have called South Carolina home since she was 12 years old.

Nursing has been her calling for the past 22 years, and she has spent the last 10 years as a nurse practitioner. Fourteen of those years have been devoted to hospice care, including the past five with Wren Hospice. Her career has always centered around geriatrics, and she is deeply passionate about helping her patients live comfortably and enjoy the best possible quality of life.

Outside of work, she has been happily married for almost five years. She has one son in college and two wonderful stepchildren. She also has a “furry child,” her 7-year-old Yorkie!!
Recently, she has also started raising chickens 🐔
When not working, you can usually find her hanging out with family and friends- around a cozy fire in the winter or by the pool in the summer. For Charity, life's all about good company, good laughs, and making memories!

We are truly grateful to have Charity on the team at Wren!
