Congratulations to Araceli for being recognized as a Fall/Winter 2025 Vanda Visionary.

Araceli is literally the heart of the Adara Oaks Community, and everything that takes place at Adara passes through her hands. From being the first smiling face our guests encounter, to appointment scheduling for the residents, to following up with medical referrals, or making endless calls to ride connection, Araceli follows through on her work with agility and a cheerful and caring attitude. There are always a million things going on around her and she never complains about any of it. She is trusted by the residents and quick to respond to resident concerns or social emotional support needs.

Congratulations to our Fall/Winter 2025 Vanda Visionaries! Danielle, Araceli, Leticia, Eloisa, Julie, and Alexia lead with care, collaboration, agility, integrity, fun, growth, and excellence every day. We are grateful for all that they do for Vanda Health residents.

No, that’s not Little Red Riding Hood. That’s Jill, VP of Horticulture and Life Engagement for Vanda Health. She went a foraging across the Adara Oaks campus. And what did she find? A strawberry tree. Strawberry trees are evergreen shrubs/small trees that are native to the Mediterranean. They have edible red fruits that resemble strawberries. Jill brought the fruits of her labor inside for a taste test. Resident Ann said that the fruit tastes like starch and that its skin is rough like a cat’s tongue.

Q: What’s a scarecrow’s favorite Thanksgiving side dish?
A: Creamed corn. It’s always a-maize-ing!

Adara Oaks residents love to craft. A recent project had them creating scarecrows, which were truly outstanding in their fields!
