Meet Doreen! She was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota, and grew up surrounded by love and laughter with her two brothers and two sisters. When she was just three years old, her family moved to Spokane, Washington, where many of her favorite memories were made. One of Doreen’s fondest childhood memories is of the family’s summer vacations. Every year, they would travel back to North Dakota to visit relatives—a tradition that brought everyone closer together.
At 30, Doreen decided to give water skiing a try for the first time. With a laugh, she recalls, “The boat mostly pulled me around. I wouldn’t call what I did skiing!” That adventurous spirit carried through her life as she worked as an X-Ray Technician and explored many parts of the world.
Although she’s seen much of it, she still dreams of visiting France and hopes one day to see the World Trade Center Memorial.
When Doreen turned 60, she joined the Red Hat Society, where her love of fashion and flair truly shined! Over the years, she’s built quite the wardrobe—and she’s always ready with the perfect outfit for any
occasion. Here at Huntington Terrace, you’ll often see Doreen and
Nurse Kim showing off their creative styles on “Dress-Up Days.”
During the summer months, Doreen can often be found outside soaking up the sunshine—one of her favorite pastimes. Her cheerful spirit, warm heart and vibrant personality bring joy to everyone around her.
We are so lucky to have Doreen as part of our Huntington Terrace
family!
