Sandra was born in Horton, Kansas, and grew up on a farm alongside her younger brother. Her childhood was full of adventure- playing softball with neighborhood friends, buildings forts, and racing through the old barn are just a few of her favorite memories from those early years.
Later, Sandra moved to Portland, Oregon, where she met her husband. The two were married and spent 40 years together raising three wonderful children. Sandra has found memories of traveling with her family throughout the Northwest, the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, and various national parks. She passed on her love of adventure to her children through these shared experiences. In addition to raising her own kids, Sandra opened her heart to three foster Children. She says this chapter of her life was deeply meaningful, giving her the opportunity to make a difference and provide love and support to children in need.
After her children were grown up, Sandra made the decision to return to school. She attended Mt. Hood Community College, earning multiple degrees and eventually becoming a medical assistant.
