Most people brush this off… until it turns into something bigger.

If your knee is locking, catching, or getting stuck mid-movement, that’s not just “tightness.”

That’s your joint telling you something isn’t moving the way it should.

Here are a few common reasons this happens:

1️⃣ Meniscus irritation. That small cartilage pad can get pinched and cause that locking feeling.

2️⃣ Joint misalignment. If your hips or ankles are off, your knee takes the hit.

3️⃣ Muscle imbalance. Tight quads and weak hamstrings can pull the knee out of its natural tracking pattern.

Here’s what you can start doing right now:

• Slow, controlled knee bends. Stay in a pain-free range.

• Light hamstring activation like bridges or heel digs.

• Avoid twisting or pivoting movements until it settles down.

Most people try to “wait out” vertigo… and that usually makes it worse.

That spinning feeling is often coming from your inner ear and how your brain is interpreting balance signals.

One of the most effective things you can try right away is a simple repositioning movement called the Epley maneuver.

Here’s a simplified version you can try at home:

Sit on your bed and turn your head about 45 degrees toward the side that triggers the spinning.

Quickly lie back so your head is slightly hanging off the edge. Stay there for about 20 to 30 seconds.

Slowly rotate your head to the opposite side and hold again.
Roll onto your side, then sit back up slowly.

This helps move tiny crystals in your inner ear back where they belong, which can reduce or stop that spinning sensation.

Also keep these in mind:

Move slower than you think you need to. Sudden movements make it worse.

Stay hydrated. Dehydration can amplify dizziness.

Avoid looking down at your phone for long periods when symptoms are active.

If vertigo keeps coming back, there may also be a neck or nervous system component affecting your balance.

Your body’s balance system is deeper than just your ears.
