Still kind of in disbelief over this one.

I was voted Best Massage Therapist in the Outlook Reader’s Choice again this year - three years in a row now. That honestly means so much to me.

Thank you to everyone who took a moment to vote, and to the clients who trust me (and our team at Hive) with their care. This work is something I care deeply about, and it’s not something I take lightly when someone chooses to come in and let me help them feel better in their body.

I get asked often why I chose massage therapy as a profession. The truth is, I didn’t choose massage. It wasn’t even something I had thought about before enrolling in school. In fact, I had never even gotten a professional massage before signing up for classes. Crazy, right?! This is my accidental profession that turned into my full-time obsession. I love massage therapy. I cannot imagine doing anything else.

Clients! ✨ It’s time to book ahead. ✨ I’ll be taking a little vacation this March 22-31st. Because of this I will not be accepting any new clients during the month of March. I’ll be focusing on my amazing list of current clients and their needs before jetting off on a spring getaway.

⭐️New clients are still being accepted by all of the other amazing team members at Hive while I am away.

I will be back in the office ready to drop some elbows in the nicest way possible on April 1st. I highly recommend getting booked in advance so I can make sure you are cared for. 💗

1 year 🎉

1 year ago today I moved all my little things out of a little room into a bigger building. I was a little solo muscle artist happy to have just reached my next little goal. Then another room was available and I decided to take a leap- I talked my friends into joining me and the idea for was born - although the name was still months from being dreamt up, the vision came to life. A collective group of healing hands ready to give some of the best massage in Gresham. My little idea got bigger, and the growth that has happened in the last year has been so rewarding.

My little room is now a 4 room clinic with 4 therapists here to help you with healing and relaxation to the highest level. We have even more ideas for 2025.

Gua sha (pronouced “gwa-shah”), you might hear it called instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM). This is a scraping technique that uses a smooth flat tool to help loosen up tight muscles or areas of scar tissue.

I know when you think ‘scraping’ you may think it’s uncomfortable, but I tailor every session to client needs and tolerance. While some techniques may be more intense, they don’t have to be painful.

I have several different options for Gua Sha making this technique an option for different types pain.

One of the bigger questions I get is why?

Cupping therapy is a powerhouse in healing that has been used for hundreds of years. It increases circulation to an area that needs to have focus. Your body can get a little blind to areas of chronic pain and stop trying to heal those spots. Your body starts to think ‘that always hurts so why try to fix it’. Cupping brings blood flow and attention back to that area and jumpstarts the healing process again.

If you have cupping added to your session this amplifies the benefits of your massage. There is so much more to share.
