03/11/2026

Today, men and women all over the world are being recognized for their career choice of doing what many cannot do - they are being appreciated for their sacrifices, time and dedication to what we know as death care.

Webster defines a funeral director as a person whose JOB is to manage the logistics, legalities, and emotional support involved in handling a deceased person's final arrangements. I want to shine light in a different perspective. Yes, we can totally agree with that JOB description, but when an individual has a PASSION for the assignment given them, it gives just a little more insight.

Miller Funeral Home has been blessed with two individuals who not only perform the JOB, but they show their PASSION is all they do. It's not always easy, it's not always promising and most definitely time consuming, but when you possess a PASSION, it becomes your life and anything pertaining to it, you give it your all and your best because it is now a representation of YOU!

Yes, there are times you may not see it and there are times we as a staff haven't always shown it, but we honor you, Toshia Renee Martin and Marcus Clark for each of your sacrifices. Our staff sees your dedication of making sure things are done in order and carried our in excellence - and that's continuing the legacy of the late Mr. Jack Miller.

HAPPY FUNERAL DIRECTORS AND MORTICIANS DAY!!!!!!!
