Nola locals can practice in person twice a week, and everyone else can practice via livestream and a massive library of pre-recorded yoga classes, meditations, and more.

Beans truly enjoyed last night's restorative class!

We focused on lengthening the side body, breathing into the backs of the lungs, and softening the psoas (fight or flight muscle) in an effort to release tension and reset the nervous system.

It worked for Beans, it just might work for you, too.

This unwinding evening practice is designed for you to shed the detritus of the day, have a relaxing evening, and get some good sleep.

Generally, it is good to have two blankets, two blocks, and a bolster. If you don't have those items at home, good substitutes are bath towels, thick books, and sofa cushions, respectively. Covering the eyes is nice too, so grab an eye pillow, or a hand towel, and join me in the virtual classroom.

Your nervous system will thank you!

DID NOT WANT TO DO THIS TODAY.

So glad I did.

It’s so much easier to NOT practice yoga and adhere to an Ayurvedic lifestyle. Following the protocols and stepping on the mat for a practice requires a near daily pep talk.

However, when I put the effort in, the rest of my life is easier.

So, to the mat I go.

Join me at 6pm for a teaching on the Ayurvedic clock and learn ways to improve your digestion and sleep by aligning with it.

This rolling monthly offering is a casual way to begin to understand the Ayurvedic view, and apply these simple practices to your life for Longevity, Integrity, Fulfillment and Ease.

There is so much to gain from leaning into these practices!

As the world gets louder and more chaotic, turning inward and returning to center become necessary for mental and emotional survival. If you have a practice, it's time to double down, and if you don't, now is a good time to start.

This class will cover dinacharya, or the daily rhythm, one of the primary teachings of Ayurveda.

Morning practice in my pjs. Adjusting to time change and transition to Spring call for more vigor in practice. Kapoalabhati (skull shining breath), quicker flows, and invigorating backbends. This 15 minute investment will pay dividends all day.
