Are you curious about Ayurveda?

I’m teaching women how to incorporate the principles and practices of this healing art into their lives so they can have a better experience of being embodied.

Smoother digestion, deeper sleep, and a stronger sense of self are just a few of the benefits.

We learn and incorporate a little at a time so as to not fall into overwhelm.

We start tomorrow, Monday, February 23 at 6pm.

Tomorrow is Sunday, and that means it’s time for Sunday Morning Yogaah, a virtual practice with me. 🤗

Drop in to one class at a time, or commit to weekly practice, get a membership, and have access to the virtual library where I’ve housed almost 50 different classes.

Practice when and how you want ~ but please practice! You need it. We all do. Not in a “love and light” spiritual bypassing kind of way, but in a “here is how you cultivate the bandwidth and mindset to stay in the fight” kind of way.

We have a long way to go yet, friends, and we need you steady, able to stay focused, and not bitter towards the world. Yoga can teach you this. I can teach you yoga.

Yoga Chikitsa is the therapeutic application of yogic principles and practices. It is one of the vidyas, or systems of knowledge and wisdom that require mastery to practice.

Through my decades of practice and study, I have become adept at knowing which yogic principles, poses, and practices are needed and appropriate for certain individuals, and which ones are contra-indicated. I have become a yoga chikitsaka, one who can prescribe yoga to support the well-being of another.

I administer a combination of Ayurvedic lifestyle recommendations to improve digestion and sleep, yog-asana (poses, either active or restorative), yogic practices such as pranayama (breath work), mantra (recitation of a vibrational sound), and yoga nidra (yogic sleep), as well as contemplative practices such as meditation on a teaching from a core text such as the Bhagavad Gita or Patanjali's Yoga Sutras.

Yoga chikitsa is tailored to you. This highly individualized application of the practice can put you on a fast track to feeling better in body, mind, and spirit.

It’s not too late to join me online this morning for a warming and grounding practice!

It is bitterly cold and/or raining across much of the US. Warming from the inside out with movement, from the warmth of your home, is bound to be a salve.

This also feels like a morning to get out of our heads and into our bodies, both as a respite from current events, and as a way to ground our energy and become steady enough to act with resolve.

Yoga helps.
