Massage Therapists have it hard. I once had a young girl come to get a massage from The Peppermint Room. She was so enthralled with the idea of "spa life". "Everything's so nice", she said. "It's so peaceful and smells so good. I wanna be a massage therapist too." I had a very candid conversation with her. I was trying to see where her heart was. I explained, "You have to really care about people to do this job because it's not always pretty." "Are you prepared to deal with the not so pretty side of massage?" I started naming some unpleasant scenarios. One scenario included washing smelly feet. Her face turned upside down.
"Yeah, nevermind." She said. "That's exactly what I thought." I said to myself. Everything that glitters ain't gold my love.

What we do is truly from the heart. As we don't turn people away for not knowing any better. We serve and we assist even when it's hard.

If you haven't met her yet, you're missing out. She's such a kind soul. Genuine and understanding. Luz is not only an extremely talented therapist, she also enjoys the outdoors. She caught this huge blue cat all on her own. Isn't it pretty?

Did you know that The Peppermint Room was designed with mommies in mind. While working in spas, I always cringed having to do yet another side lying prenatal massage. No matter how much I tried to comfort my mommies, they always looked awkward...and I felt awful. Being a mom of 3 myself, I know 1st hand the pains and discomforts of pregnancy. Mommies did not and would not experience that if I were ever to open my own massage establishment. So when The Peppermint Room was born in 2012, the very 1st detailed task was to have a pregnancy massage table custom made so that mommies could lay face down, with their bellies comfortably nestled inside of a warm, cradle. 💞💞😁
