Psalm 147:6 “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds,” is a reflection of God’s care, concern and compassion for those who are suffering, hurt and in despair.

God is deeply concerned about the emotional scars that linger long after the initial pain has passed.

God wants you to be healed in every area that has caused you heartache.

He desires to restore wholeness and peace in the lives of those who turn to Him in their suffering.

I specialize in trauma-informed Christian counseling, with a particular passion for helping women navigate divorce recovery, emotional healing, grief, identity restoration, and major life transitions.

Psalm 147:3 (AMP) He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds [healing their pain and comforting their sorrow]

This scripture is one that gives hope and promise to the broken-hearted.

In this verse, the Hebrew for broken-hearted means “shabar,” which is shattered or broken.

If we use a broken mirror as an analogy, once it’s broken it’s of no use to us. It’s beyond repair and we toss it. Trash it. It’s value has diminished,

Oh But God!!

Jehovah Rapha “ The God that heals “ can fully restore, perfect and mend every broken piece!

Your value hasn’t diminished and you are still useable, lovable and worthy 🙌🏼

GOD has been doing a major work in me‼️ My back story is massive. My testimony is something serious 😭 BUT GOD 🙌

GOD took a broken woman and built her up so that she could encourage other women. I’ve been bruised but not broken, down but not out, tried, tested, and tired, but I am a living witness that God honors obedience.

As transparent as I am about life, I won’t sugar coat anything. A genuine friend will tell you the truth so you can be your best, even if it hurts. I’m the kind of person that will tell you how it is before I let you keep making wrong moves. I will give it to you straight with the word of God as my reference.

I told y’all I went kicking and screaming when God said “I want you, Elydia.” I told God I’m sure there are lots of people willing to go. I wasn’t ready to be what He wanted because that required releasing a lot of people, places and things. I wasn’t ready to let go. I did not want to be an example for anyone!

The old folks would say “You gotta come in at some point!” That meant you’re going to get tired of ripping and running, slipping and sliding, peeping and hiding and yield to the will of God. GRACE kept me in the midst of ALL that I did and experienced. Real talk! No matter how far I went out there, I like the prodigal son always came running back to God because in Him was safety, refuge and unconditional love.

You’ve got to be ready to make the kind of moves God wants for your life. You’ve got to be ready to put some things down and take up the cross. You’ve got to be ready to stop running from your calling. Are you ready?

This morning I opened a tablet full with ideas, thoughts and writings from several years ago. I am definitely a paper hoarder. I usually keep everything, especially emails and text messages. Lol. There’s actually enough to publish an entire book inside of this tablet. God has given us all gifts, talents, ideas and plans. We should utilize everything God has gifted to us to bless others with because when we bless others, God in turn blesses us. So write the book, start the business, launch your program and take pride knowing someone needs what you have to offer and will be blessed in the process. Don’t worry about the masses, even if it’s just one you reach, you have done well. 🙏🏼❤️

Prayer:

Father, we repent for putting every gift, talent, idea and plan that you have placed inside of us on hold. We repent for exploring options outside of your will and not being consistent with your plans for our lives. We repent for the delay in our ministry in reaching others and being off of our posts for extended periods of time when we were needed in place and for your purpose. We repent for limiting your hand on our lives. We thank you for grace and for being such a forgiving God. We ask that you reposition and realign us to serve in your kingdom for your glory and your glory only. In Jesus name. Amen. 🙏🏼❤️
