It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Deacon Johnnie Edward McDowell, Sr., the beloved founder of McDowell’s Funeral Home and the father of our establishment. Deacon McDowell has peacefully transitioned from his earthly home to be present with the Lord our God. His life and leadership have left an indelible mark on every heart he touched, and his legacy of excellence, compassion, and service will continue to live on through the work he began.

At this time, we ask that you please keep the McDowell family and the entire funeral home staff in your prayers. We kindly request that the family be given the time and space to process this tremendous loss. Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced, but updates will be provided as details are finalized.

Let us continue to honor his memory through love, unity, and faith, trusting in God’s perfect will and the comfort of His promises.
