Our employee facts for the week is our Great COTA, Jourdan Ortiz. Jourdan has been in home health and with Suncrest for 8 years, previously bringing his talent to an outpatient facility before transitioning into home health. Born in New York City with a degree from Chattahoochee Technical college. When Jourdan is not working, he has a deep passion for studying and teaching the bible, Its one of the most fulfilling parts of his life. He also cherishes quality time with his wife, getting lost in musical scores and staying active through working out. The most rewarding part of working in the healthcare field for him, is being able to walk alongside his patients during some of their most vulnerable moments. Something he tells patients when they feel hopeless is to remind them that, "everyone is carrying a burden, but the best thing is you don't have to carry this burden alone." Theres something incredibly powerful about offering support when they need it most, Even the smallest act of kindness can have a huge impact-and watching someone regain strength along with confidence is an incredible gift. Fun fact about Jourdan when he is not working you can casually find him in his office creating graphic designs-it's his creative escape!
