We had such a wonderful turnout yesterday at for our Free Back to School Haircut Event! The amazing team at Barbers on the Boulevard cut the hair for nearly 100 kids!! Everyone was all smiles heading back into the classroom!

COWETA AND SURROUNDING AREA PARENTS! At Brightmoor Hospice, we understand how stressful and expensive back to school can be for those on a limited budget. To support our community, we have partnered with Barbers on the Boulevard to offer FREE back-to-school haircuts for local kids in need.

This is open to any child entering Pre-K to 12th grade, but space is limited, so we do ask that you sign up for a time slot in advance. Fun Friday 7/25/25: Our Community Outreach and Marketing Teams have been busy out and about in the communities we serve!

We had a great time at the Thomaston Housing Authority's Back to School Bash and we loved creating Christmas in July crafts with our friends at Spalding County Senior Center, St. George's Court, and Logan Senior Village!

As always, it was a great week at Brightmoor!

Thankful Thursday 7/24/25: Each Thursday we would like to highlight a special member of our staff that has gone above and beyond in some special way.

This week’s story comes from Chuck Brown, CEO. Recenlty a patient's family sent him the following email recognizing Wendy Singletary and Michelle Smith for going above and beyond to assist their family in getting veternairy care for their beloved pets.

"I am unable to leave the house as Reggie becomes very agitated when I am not present, so of course groceries and supplies are ordered online and delivered. In the case of vet appointments or prescription pickups for myself I use a paid senior driver service. Unfortunately, my driver's vehicle was in the transmission shop on the late afternoon of the veterinary appointment. Wendy was delivering medication for Reggie and was aware of my dilemma and contacted Michelle. These two ladies came after work, drove to the vet's office, waited while the annual shots were given and brought them back safely to me. They would not allow me to compensate them for their time and kindness."

Fun Friday 7/18/25: Our Community Outreach and Marketing Teams have been busy out and about in the communities we serve!

We had a blast at our Brightmoor Auction at Benton Village of Stockbridge, GA1 We loved celebrating Christmas in July with our friends at Heritage Senior Center and National HotDog Day at The Palms at Lake Spivey.

We loved hosting breakfast for the new hires at Thomaston-Upson Schools and exercising with the residents of Governor's Glen Memory Care Community.

Last, but not least, we had a great time creating beach themed treats at Reliable Health and Rehab.

As always, it was a great week with Brightmoor!
