Nothing is more rewarding than seeing students blend sounds for the first time to create a word....and realize that they " read" the word correctly! This happened twice this week...in Middle Scool! I LOVE being a Speech-language Pathologist.

Earlier this month, a student screamed for 30 minutes because they had to get off their chrome book and come to speech. Fast forward to our last session when after therapy, without their chromebook, they made this bracelet and gave it to me. , , ,

We have completed the 4th week of our 6-week SPEECH-language Reading Program. Week 5, is dedicated to my dad who was a carpenter, as we will be " putting SOUNDS together" to make words.

As I prepare for the start our 6-week SPEECH Language Reading program, I had to pause to ask myself why did I take on this challenge. Then God reminded me, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and computers do not have the Holy Spirit. I have the gift within me, which I use to help those I work with to achieve their potential. I am excited to see what God will do through ME! Get ready...2 more days

Word Rehab, Inc still does not have power. We will be closed on Monday. Let's focus on Martin Luther King Jr, and the changes he made versus no electricity...because with God, we have Power!

GSCS will be closed for students and staff on Monday, January 16 in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, it will also be closed for students and staff on Tuesday, January 17 as our community continues to work to restore power and clean up tornado damage. On Wednesday, January 18, GSCS schools will remain closed for students but staff will report to work. Employees who are unable to report to work on Wednesday should notify their principal or direct supervisor.
