Sometimes it’s hard to know what to say when someone you love is struggling with their mental health. Maybe you feel nervous about saying the wrong thing, or not saying enough. Validation and intention go a long way when letting someone know you’re there for support.
Mental health awareness month is all about de-stigmatizing mental health challenges and journeys. Learning how to support a friend, especially before they’re in need of support, can make a world of difference. Additionally, identifying what YOU might need during a bad mental health day, week, or month, and communicating that to those in your circle.
Silence continues the stigma. Connection is our way through. If you struggle to accept help or reach out when things get tough, we encourage you to challenge it. If it feels too hard, we’re here to support you. 🫶🏻
