Golden Lotus Yoga for Spiritual Awareness was founded by Roy E. & Mary Ann Thibodeau to further the teachings of Raja and Kriya Yoga as passed on to them through Paramahansa Yogananda and his direct advanced disciple, our Guru, Yogacharya J. Oliver Black

Our instructions and techniques are based on the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda and the science of Raja & Kriya Yoga. Kriya Yoga Initiation

and Self Realization or enlightenment should become a goal of those uninitiated into Kriya Yoga. The hosts, Roy & Mary Ann Thibodeau, meditators and Kriya Yoga initiates for over 50 years, are direct disciples of Yogacharya J. Oliver Black one of Paramahansa Yogananda's most advanced male disciples. Yogacharya was the founder of Golden Lotus, Inc., which owns & operates 'Song of the Morning' an 800 acre Yoga Retreat Northeast of Gaylord, MI on the Pigeon River. Paramahansa Yogananda founded Self Realization Fellowship, headquartered in Los Angeles, CA and is the author of the Spiritual Classic, 'Autobiography of a Yogi.'

Roy and Mary Ann Thibodeau have been ordained by Roy Eugene Davis under the authority of Yogacharya Oliver and are authorized to Initiate qualified candidates into Kriya Yoga. Roy Eugene Davis was one of the last living, direct disciples of Paramahansa Yogananda and was the Spiritual Director of the Center for Spiritual Awareness, CSA, in Northern Georgia until his MahaSamadhi March 27, 2019.
