We would like to extend our sincere gratitude for the generous donation from Scrap It Up Blue what a great organization! 💙

Spent Giving Tuesday delivering Scrap it Up Blue's donation of $2272 to Cottage Gardens. They will be using the funds raised during our Weekend November Crop to purchase new kitchen appliances for their bakery in Colchester.

Today’s Member Spotlight shines on our friends at Seabird Enterprises!

Many of you may have stopped by their booth at our GNACC Holiday Bazaar on Small Business Saturday and picked up some of their beautiful plants and handmade holiday items. 🌿🎄 But there’s so much more to Seabird than their wonderful creations!

Did you know they also operate Mobile Work Crews right here in our community? These small groups work at local businesses to provide reliable cleaning and landscaping services — everything from seasonal yard clean-ups (yes, it’s the perfect time to get those leaves and sticks up!) to ongoing support for non-residential small businesses such as restaurants, offices, churches, and more.

Their crews are currently helping at local stables, churches, private homes, and even Captain Scott’s. Each job offers meaningful employment opportunities for participants while giving local businesses dependable support they can feel good about.

Seabird Enterprises continues to brighten our region in so many ways — through their products, their people, and their commitment to community. 💙🌿

It is the mission of Seabird Enterprises to develop and provide programs including socialization, vocational training and job opportunities in community settings for individuals with physical and developmental disabilities. We strive to develop and maintain programs that promote dignity, self-worth, self-confidence and preparation for life in the community. We continually survey the personal goals of all consumers and develop programs that fulfill these goals. We will create business and social ventures to meet these goals if there are no applicable opportunities currently available. We value diversity and ardently strive to be a true reflection of our community. It is our goal at Seabird that all our consumers, through our extensive training programs and job opportunities, will be prepared to participate in a productive community life.
