The slow mindful lessons of NeuroMovement are wonderful for vagal tone. It was one of the biggest impacts that I had during my training.
While raising kiddos with big emotions, and myself barely sleeping for roughtly 7 years, my nervous system was on fire. I felt the buzzing motor of anxiety.
And you know that line in the Avengers where Bruce Banner says "that's my secret, I'm always angry"? Yeah, that was me too. Even when I appeared happy, there was the constant, underlying current of rage, wanting to burst out.
Many symptoms of ADHD all from kids with brains on fire, and lack of sleep. The weight of parenthood.
But NeuroMovement lessons calmed me. I learned how to let go of muscle contractions that I didn't even know were there. Muscles squeezing my vagus nerve that travels through the center of my body.

If you have low vagal tone chances are excellent that you get stressed out more easily. You probably tend to feel more anxiety, and in general, it’s just harder for you to regulate and deal with negative emotions.
