🎉 Today we’re celebrating Kyle Darby and all that he brings to Forward Health! 🎉
We may be celebrating a couple days late, but we didn’t miss it, and we wouldn’t. Our dedicated staff are simply worth celebrating every time.

As our Alumni Coordinator, and soon-to-be Community Outreach team member, Kyle embodies growth, service, and genuine care for others. His heart for our alumni, his consistency, and his ability to connect with people in meaningful ways make a real impact every single day.

And if you’re wondering who the guy is with the big bright smile holding the cake… yep, that’s Kyle! A perfect reflection of the positivity and joy he brings to our team.

Happy Birthday, Kyle! Here’s to another year of growth, leadership, and making a difference. We’re grateful for you and excited for what’s ahead! ✨💙

At Forward Health, our entire mission comes down to one simple idea: Humanize the Process.

That starts the very first moment someone reaches out. Our admissions team is made up of people who have had to make that same hard call themselves at some point in their lives. They know the fear, the hesitation, the vulnerability it takes to ask for help, and they treat every conversation with the respect and patience it deserves.

That same philosophy carries all the way through our medical care. Our doctors and nurse practitioners genuinely despise the stigma that still exists in healthcare around substance use disorder. They believe patients deserve dignity, not judgment, and they work every day to make medical care feel human again instead of cold or transactional.

Recovery is hard enough. The process of getting help should never make it harder.

If you or someone you love needs help, call us at 614-324-8669 or message this page anytime.

✨Ringing in the New Year together at Forward Health was something the word wonderful doesn’t begin to cover.✨

As the clock counted down and a new year approached, we spent our night embracing each other - it was filled with intention, connection, and moments that will stay with us for a long time. We created vision boards that reflected the lives we’re building. We chose words to guide us into the year ahead. We shared what we’re grateful for, what we’re leaving behind, and what we’re looking forward to becoming. We laughed and cheered through a dance contest, talked openly about the things we’ve hurt over, and the things we are capable of, and we named the dreams we want so badly for our lives.

Tears were shed. Laughter echoed. Pain was shared. Triumph was celebrated.

At several moments, we sat close, holding space for one another with hope, honesty, and love. There was so much pride in the room, not just in individual journeys, but in the collective strength it takes to show up, stay sober, and keep choosing growth.

We set fire to the things we’re leaving in 2025, and letting go of - releasing old pain, old patterns, and heavy chapters that no longer serve us. Together, we walked into 2026 grounded, supported, and ready for all that lies ahead.. for the wonder, the light, and the possibilities waiting for each person in our space.

One of the most meaningful parts of the evening just before midnight, was taking time to reflect on just how far so many have come, and how much growth each person plans to continue nurturing. Together, we acknowledged what past New Year’s Eves once looked like for many.. nights spent feeling empty, alone, cold, hungry, or completely lost. Naming that contrast made the present moment incredibly special. To be surrounded by love, seen, supported, and sober, was a reminder of how much can change when someone is given the chance to heal. That brought gratitude, pride, and a deep appreciation for the lives being rebuilt right now.

Most importantly, we walked into the New Year sober together; what a gift.

We are deeply proud of our clients and their courage, vulnerability, and commitment to themselves. We are equally proud of the incredible individuals on the Forward Health team who make moments like this possible. There is truly nowhere else we would rather be on New Year’s Eve than alongside our residents, celebrating recovery, resilience, and the beauty of moving forward together.

Here’s to new chapters, continued healing, and all that’s ahead.

Happy Day One of 2026, and the rest of our lives 🤍

✨ A little different kind of highlight this week ✨

Most of you know Kyle Darby; he’s been with us for some time, is also fellow alumni of our program, and has recently stepped into the role of Alumni Coordinator! He’s currently rolling out our full alumni structure, and we’re really excited about what this means for our community.

The goal is simple: to stay connected. Not just during treatment, but long after. To continue celebrating life, recovery, growth, and community together, for the future and ongoing.

If you’re one of our alumni and have been getting text messages from Kyle recently… yes 😅 we’re aware they might feel a little funny or random right now. We promise.. this is just part of the rollout process. Please stick with us, and know that we genuinely want to hear back from you. It’s truly the highlight of our day, when we do!

Moving forward, as we continue to improve the system, you can look forward to:
• Alumni event invites
• Get-togethers and celebrations
• Inspiration
• Community updates
• Various ways to stay connected with one another

If you haven’t connected with Kyle yet, we would absolutely love for you to reach out so we can make sure you’re included as we build this out.

To all of our clients, past, present, and future, we are truly honored to have you as part of the Forward Health family. You are our reason.

Let’s keep moving forward, together 🤍

WE ARE OPEN ✨

Always. At Forward Health, we believe access to care shouldn’t be complicated, delayed, or cold.. and in this weather, we don’t want individuals stuck searching, and hoping.

We practice immoderate availability, because when someone reaches out for help, timing matters.

Our admissions process is fast, effective, and human. Real conversations. Clear next steps. No unnecessary barriers. No waiting weeks, days, or even hours for answers.

15 minutes, we have a solution.

And when someone walks through our doors, they’re met with more than paperwork.
There’s a warm hug, a cup of coffee, and a team that genuinely cares waiting for them.

Because healing starts the moment someone feels seen, welcomed, and safe.

At Forward Health, we don’t just admit people for care, we receive them, we hold them close to our hearts, and we walk next to them on their journey🤍

We have open bed availability currently! Please reach out if you, a patient, family member, or a loved one is in need of immediate care.

There’s something incredibly special about pausing, together, to reflect on where we’ve been.
This year has held wins we’re proud of, challenges that stretched us, tough days that tested us, and incredible days that reminded us why we do this work. Through all of it, we stood firm in our purpose. We showed up for one another, for our clients, and for our mission - consistently, compassionately, and with heart.

Celebrating as a team isn’t just about the highlights; it’s about honoring the grit, the growth, and the unwavering commitment behind the scenes. It’s about recognizing the people who carry this organization forward every single day.

Forward Health deeply appreciates each and every one of you. Your dedication, resilience, and belief in the work we do make this organization what it is.

What a meaningful way to celebrate our team, our passion, and the impact we make together. Here’s to closing out this chapter with gratitude and stepping confidently into another year ahead.

It’s Friday, and that’s a perfect reason to highlight our incredible staff.

Today we’d like to shine a light on Lindsay Newkirk, an Intake Specialist of ours at Forward Health ⭐

Lindsay is someone whose presence is felt the moment she steps into a room, and the type of person who brings light with her. There’s a reason she’s on the front lines, helping people take steps to change their lives in real time. She’ll go out of her way to make someone smile, she listens with her whole heart, and she genuinely pours herself into every person who walks through our doors. You can feel her compassion before she even says a word.

Lindsay recently told us that “being part of a team who believes in your potential builds a confidence in yourself”, and that she has found that with her department.

In her words, “we build each other to help rebuild others,” and that’s exactly the kind of energy she brings to our program every single day.

Lindsay lives by the belief that healing isn’t a straight line, but a journey worth taking. She reminds herself daily that growth comes from staying honest, staying open, and trusting that faith will carry her through the rest. That mindset shows up in the way she treats people, with patience, grace, and a deep understanding of what real change looks like.

She explained thar she takes pride in welcoming people into a space where they feel cared for, understood, and supported as they take their first steps toward recovery.

And because every great highlight needs one fun twist, most people don’t know that Lindsay is bilingual in Spanish and once lived in San Luis Potosí, Mexico for a year. How cool is that?!

Lindsay, thank you for showing up with purpose, compassion, and a grateful heart; it makes a difference here every single day.

Important Update for Our Community Partners!

In addition to the insurance providers we’ve been able to accept for years, Forward Health is grateful to announce that we can now accept true dual insurance plans that include both Medicare and Ohio Medicaid/Managed Care coverage.

This expansion allows us to serve even more individuals who need high-quality, compassionate continued care. 💛

If you know someone who’s ready to take a next step in their recovery journey, please keep us in mind. We’re here, ready, and committed to supporting your loved ones, your clients, and our community, intentionally, every step of the way.
