Meet Chris Schildroth, who serves on the Grundy County Memorial Hospital Board of Commissioners. Chris brings a wealth of experience in accounting, banking, and agriculture, as well as a deep personal connection to the hospital’s mission.

Chris and her husband, Scott, live in Reinbeck, where they run their family farm together. In 2024, Chris launched her own CPA firm, building on decades of professional expertise. She also gave nearly a decade of volunteer service as a member of the GCMH Foundation Board from 2012–2021.

Family is at the heart of Chris’s life—she and Scott are parents to Jill (married to Ryan, parents of C**t, Emmie, and Kenna) and Jenny (married to Shane, parents of Michael). Chris loves spending time with her four grandchildren, especially on “Gram Camp Days.” In her spare time, she enjoys needlepoint and making birthday cakes.

Chris is passionate about the impact GCMH has on local families—including her own. “The care that our family has received over the years has been outstanding! I think our family has been served by almost every department of the hospital!” she shares.

We’re grateful for Chris’s dedication and advocacy for exceptional, local health care!
