Chances are, you "Can't Help Falling in Love" with him. He's a crowd favorite. His tunes can melt your heart and even make you swoon. We're talking about The King, of course. "Donny Elvis," as he is called, always packs a full house when he visits the residents here at Our Lady of Mercy. His performances leave everyone singing, humming, and tapping their hands and feet. But most of all, his songs leave our residents smiling from the heart! Thank you, Donny Elvis! We love you!

How was your Valentine's Day? Here at Our Lady of Mercy, our residents enjoyed a truly special three-day celebration, from chocolates, to valentines, and they were even serenaded! Our thanks to the Fourgettable Quartet, which paid us a visit during our Valentine's Day party and performed several songs to the delight of our residents. The special concert brought big smiles and joy to both residents and staff! ❤

Our hearts are FULL here at Our Lady of Mercy! We cannot express the gratitude we feel for the overwhelming love shown to our beloved residents by so many in the community, including students at Lynnwood Elementary, Hamilton Union Presbyterian Church - HUPC, and Albany Church of Christ. We also sincerely appreciate the family of Michael Craig, a resident on our Guadalupe unit, for their thoughtful efforts bringing in 40 cards and gift boxes for our residents on Guad. On behalf of all our residents, thank you all from the bottom of our hearts! We love you all! ❤

Our hearts are simply aflutter here at Our Lady of Mercy! On this day before St. Valentine's Day, we are so excited to receive a special bag full of love for our residents and Veterans! Our heartfelt thanks to NYS Senator Patricia A. Fahy and her office for coordinating a "Valentines for Seniors and Veterans Card Drive" with young students, families, and communities across the 46th Senate District. Our beloved residents will adore these thoughtful greetings! Thank you to all those involved for your love for our residents! Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! ❤

Here at Our Lady of Mercy, we know that taste is as important as nutrition for our residents, so once a month, our Unidine culinary team highlights something that is both healthy and tasty. This month, we learned all about Dark Chocolate, which offers significant health benefits due to its high concentration of antioxidants, flavanols, and essential minerals. Consuming it in moderation can improve heart health, reduce blood pressure, enhance brain function, lower inflammation, and even boost mood! The best part of the presentation was when our residents got to taste the chocolate-covered strawberries, chocolate truffles, chocolate-covered pineapple, and even chocolate mousse! Yummmm!

Here at Our Lady of Mercy, our staff organized a fun 80s Day, transporting us back to the spirit of that memorable time in our lives. 'Twas The Night Before Christmas when all through the halls at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center... our residents were watching this WRGB CBS 6 News, Albany report from Anchor Julia Dunn who dropped by recently during a special holiday visit from a four-legged friend! Merry Christmas, everyone!

Jelly Roll is the smallest hero for the residents at Our Lady of Mercy in Guilderland.

It has been a heartwarming and fun-filled year here at Our Lady of Mercy as we reflect on all the wonderful moments we've shared with our residents and families, from our great bonfire tradition, to visits from Jelly Roll and Thor, to making Percy the Mercy Turkey together, and most recently, receiving those beautiful Christmas gift bags from young students at the Saratoga Central Catholic School. We have truly enjoyed it all.

Thank you to our cherished residents and families for entrusting us with your care, and a special thank you to our amazing staff for the countless ways you love on our residents. From our OLOM Family to yours, wishing you a Happy Holiday Season and the best New Year yet!

You better not cry, you better not pout... because yes, Santa Claus is coming to town! In fact, it's a secret but he's already in town and making a special stop at Our Lady of Mercy to visit with all the great folks there. (Shh.. word is he has a sleigh full of presents for everyone!) Don't worry, Santa will have plenty of time to make the rest of his deliveries tomorrow night! Ho ho ho, Merry Christmas, Santa!

Well, he tried, but the Grinch simply could NOT steal Christmas here at Our Lady of Mercy! We are full on with our holiday festivities, and Santa's Elves have been busy spreading joy and good cheer to all our residents. Check out all our beautiful decorations. We even have a "giving tree" thanks to the generosity of our staff and families. This tree helps fund the resident gift program ensuring that every resident receives a special gift for Christmas! It also helps several staff with gifts for their children. The greatest gift of all will be seeing the smiles on the faces of all our residents!

😇 Jillian VanDeCarr ’28, Kayla Zacharewicz ’28, and Annalise Hendershot ’30 collected donations from classmates and teachers and delivered more than 45 Christmas gift bags to the residents of Our Lady of Mercy Nursing Home in Guilderland. 🎁🎄
