I’m certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage. Here’s a couple of awesome things that Manual Lymphatic Drainage does for your body following any surgical procedure:
* Helps to remove swelling quickly from the body following surgery.
*Helps rid anesthesia from the body. Who likes that anesthesia feeling following a procedure!
*Bruising dissipates faster and helps tissue heal quicker. Faster recovery!
* Reduces pain in swollen limbs and surgical areas by reducing the swelling that may be causing increased pressure on a joint or area.
*Aids in better digestion and lessens constipation following surgery.
* Significantly increases the speed of lymph fluid transport, often accelerating it to roughly 6 times faster than its normal rate. Studies using near-infrared fluorescence imaging (NIRFLI) have shown that MLD can increase the median velocity of lymph fluid in superficial vessels.
