Honoring our Dear Ashton
Our Sweet, Amazing, Loving, Shakti Goddess Teacher Ashton Flint has left her body and is flying Free.

Ashton felt her calling was to facilitate healing through love and affection and she was good at it. Watching her, we could see how she directed that energy with intention.

Her Dark Shakti yoga class was part of that calling; helping us tap into our sensuality for our own pleasure and self love. The response of full classes and lots of positive feedback, friends bringing friends and telling others how awesome the class was, is evidence she tapped into something we need.

Some of Ashton’s qualities that our teachers and students have shared are sweet, amazing, vibrant, wild, fierce , giving, courageous, honest, fierce giving, courageous, honest, generous, kind, intuitive, enthusiastic, authentic, unique - passion, ally, loving, mom, authentic, caring, Wild, open, loving, honest, vibrant, spunky and sweet, beautiful inside & out, forever sounbath buddy, beautiful soul, wonderful presence, beautiful soul, contagious spirit, beautiful smile and energy about her, joy, amazing energy, groovy person, beautiful soul, most unique and cool teacher URU had, fiery, warm, energy with a huge heart, strong and unconditional lover, excellent teacher, always friendly and supportive with an open heart, easy to talk to and listened with an open heart, the beautiful being that sat with me and talked with me when I was the stranger entering a group. She was a lover above all else.
She loved us all and was good at showing it.

Some of the ways that students felt in her classes:

Ashton Nicole Flint, 37, of Pensacola, FL., passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 6, 2024. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Ashton was born on December 12, 1986, in Pensacola, FL and resided here most of her life. She kept many of her friends from childhood,

"Hi I'm Nikki, the aerial instructor at URU Yoga. I started as an aerial student about six years ago and found it incredibly challenging, but something in me wanted to succeed enough that I kept at it. When I finally did start being able to do the exercises and tricks, it was an amazing feeling. The confidence and strength I found in aerial has translated into other areas of my life and I couldn't be more grateful.

In the fall of 2021 I had the opportunity to become an instructor and I gladly accepted. I absolutely love helping people work towards their goals, and nothing makes me happier than seeing someone get a trick for the first time. Knowing my students can have the same boost in confidence and strength that I found makes all the hard work so worthwhile. I love the challenge of helping beginners meet their goals, as well as helping seasoned students make new strides in their practice.

I currently offer several classes a week, as well as monthly special events. I'm proud to have the aerial program as such a huge part of my life."
