Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine The Andrews Institute was founded by renowned orthopaedic and sports medicine surgeon Dr. James Andrews and Baptist Health Care.

Our mission is to provide the best medical care for the musculoskeletal system through orthopaedics and sports medicine, utilizing innovative clinical and surgical technologies, and to improve patient care through research and education, emphasizing prevention. Located minutes from Pensacola, Florida in Gulf Breeze, Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine provides world–class care and service for the athlete in everyone. The Institute’s 40 physicians and medical experts provide top–notch service to every patient and it’s the only place in the world to offer surgery, diagnostic imaging, rehab and athletic performance training all on one campus. The one–of–a–kind center focuses on the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries while using the expertise of nationally and internationally renowned orthopaedic surgeon James Andrews, M.D. Dr. Andrews is best known as physician to some of sport’s greatest professional athletes. In August, our Sports Medicine Outreach team conducted pre-participation sports physicals at Pensacola State College for more than 125 student-athletes across seven sports.

The physicals were made possible through the expertise of team physicians, providers and two dedicated athletic trainers at PSC, Matt McGraw, AT Supervisor for PSC, and Kelsey Hodges. Additionally, the team was assisted by several UWF MSAT students who received valuable hands-on experience. Great job by all involved to ensure these student-athletes are ready to compete!

Andrews athletic trainers Ethan Stone, AT Supervisor for JMCC, and Faith Auvil are now providing care daily to the Mohawk student-athletes, along with team physicians Dr. Steve Jordan, Dr. Adam Anz, Dr. Travis Roth, and Dr. Brett Kindle. Last week, Ethan and Faith were onsite as the JMCC Mohawk Soccer Team played their inaugural men’s soccer match!

We're sending a huge thank you to our sports medicine outreach athletic trainers and non-surgical sports medicine physicians, Dr. Brett Kindle, Dr. James Presley, and Dr. Robert Pagan Rosado, for serving as lab leaders at our recent Management of Sideline Emergencies Course!
