What’s the point of treating inflammation anyway?!

Inflammation plays a HUGE role in how our body functions — and when it becomes chronic, it can impact every system in the body. Over time, it can contribute to things like fatigue, pain, brain fog, hormone imbalance, and even autoimmune conditions.

As Holistic Health Providers, we always focus on helping the body get back into balance so it can naturally calm inflammation — rather than just masking symptoms. Here are a few things that can make a big difference:

🌿 Whole Foods & Antioxidant-Rich Diets
Start by focusing on a Whole Foods diet filled with antioxidant-rich foods like berries, leafy greens, turmeric, ginger, green tea, and colorful vegetables.

➡️ Eliminate ultra-processed foods! Reduce refined sugars — they’re some of the biggest contributors to chronic inflammation.

💧 Hydration & Detox Support
Staying fully hydrated supports every detox pathway in the body, allowing toxins and inflammatory waste to be flushed out more efficiently.

🌞 Lifestyle & Environment

• Get outside in nature — sunshine, fresh air, and grounding all help reduce stress and inflammation.
• Rest well — your body does its most powerful repair work while you sleep.
• Lower stress — stress hormones can fuel inflammation, so prayer, meditation, or gentle movement can be incredibly healing.
• Reduce EMF exposure — especially around sleep and work spaces, since it can contribute to oxidative stress in the body.

Follow some of these recommendations and just Let the Body Do What It’s Designed To Do 👏🏻

When inflammation is reduced, your body can naturally — heal, repair, and restore balance — without the constant “alarm” response that comes with chronic inflammation.

What kind of gum should I eat if I can’t have aspartame?!

Xylitol is a natural sweetener found in birch trees and some fruits — and it comes with real benefits:

✅ Supports dental health: It actually starves cavity-causing bacteria, helping prevent tooth decay and bad breath.

✅ Balances blood sugar: Xylitol has a low glycemic index, making it diabetic-friendly and a smart swap for refined sugar.

✅ Boosts gut health: It may support healthy gut bacteria — no sugar crashes or inflammation spikes here!

✅ Moisture helper: Xylitol is a humectant, meaning it helps your mouth, skin, and nasal passages stay hydrated.

Pro tip: Look for xylitol in sugar-free gums, toothpaste, and even natural sweet treats — but remember, it’s toxic to dogs, so keep it away from your furry friends 🐾

Grapefruit Seed Extract Has Many Health Benefits
🍊

Considering the grapefruit benefits include: weight loss, cellulite reduction and immune system enhancement… it’s no surprise the seeds are medicinal!

Juat a few of my favorite uses for this amazing extract:

1. Fights Candida

A Polish study published in 2001 found that a 33 percent grapefruit extract has a potent antifungal effect against Candida albicans strains taken from patients with candida symptoms. (2) GSE’s antifungal properties help it combat candida infestations by killing the yeast cells that have taken over in the body.

2. Kills Antibiotic-Resistant UTIs

A noteworthy case study published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine in 2005 found that grapefruit seeds were highly effective in killing antibiotic-resistant urinary tract infections.

3. Remedies Fungal Infections
(Not juat limited to Athlete’s Foot and Nail Fungus

4. Treats Digestive Disturbances Associated with Eczema
Eczema is linked to food choices and digestive issues. One preliminary human trial investigated the effectiveness of grapefruit seed extract on atopic eczema patients who also had intestinal dysbiosis, a microbial imbalance or maladaptation in the digestive tract.

5. Works as a General Antimicrobial

When you call for your sick visit- expect us to ask… Do you have some grapeseed extract on hand?!

If you’ve missed seeing this familiar face around… come by and visit her anytime! ✨

Since retiring, Stephanie has felt a renewed calling to help new businesses by volunteering her time to serve in holistic medicine. She feels called to teaching, so she’s not quite sure she’s ready to live the retired camper life…. She is especially passionate about gut health for all ages, focusing on both illness prevention and natural healing. 🌿

Stephanie has over 37 years of Women’s and Children’s Health nursing experience — including postpartum care, newborns, pediatrics, and as an IBCLC (International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant).

She was the founder of Gulf Coast Breastfeeding Center, where she poured her heart into caring for countless families along the Coast before “retiring” earlier this year. She has since passed the torch to Miranda, who continues her legacy of compassionate care for all the babies on the Gulf Coast. 🍼💖

Fun Fact: Stephanie was “one of the first to turn us all on to magnesium and probiotics” — long before it was cool! 😎

🖍️ 1. Dyes cause…

• …neuroinflammation and behavioral changes, especially in children sensitive to artificial additives.
• …disruption in the body’s detox pathways, overloading the liver and nervous system.
• …energetic chaos — dulling intuition and vitality through synthetic vibration.

🧬 2. Sugar causes…

• …spikes in blood glucose that lead to crashes, cravings, and inflammation.
• …gut dysbiosis, feeding yeast and harmful bacteria while starving beneficial microbes.
• …emotional instability — a temporary high followed by spiritual depletion.

🩸 3. Methylation simply can’t keep up…

• …when the body is overwhelmed with toxins, stress, and poor nutrition.
• …if key nutrients like B12, folate, and magnesium are depleted.
• …when emotional or energetic stress is left unresolved, blocking cellular communication.

🎃 4. Spiritual demise to Halloween…

•…it isn’t about the costumes or candy — it’s about where we send our energy. When we give energy to and glorify darkness with overindulgence, the veil doesn’t open — it actually thickens. True connection and awakening happen when we choose the light, to be reverent, and find balance, not promote fear and gluttony.
