Congratulations to Callie Benvenutti, SLP, on earning her doctorate! 🎓👏

Dr. Callie received her Doctorate of Speech and Language Pathology from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions this weekend in Provo, Utah. Dr. Callie completed her studies and defended a thesis titled "The Effect of Social Stories on Emotion Identification in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)". In her capstone study, Dr. Callie used Social Stories to increase the skill of emotion identification in her clients with ASD who have deficits in social pragmatic skills. Dr. Callie is hoping to use her higher education to continue to increase the research in the field of Speech and Language Pathology. She is also excited to continue her work at Beyond Therapy for Kids, helping her clients succeed in their goals.

Mallory is a proud Southern Miss graduate (SMTTT!) and a longtime fan of all things Golden Eagles. Her journey to becoming a speech therapist began right here at Beyond Therapy—after observing sessions in our Ridgeland clinic during high school, she knew pediatric speech therapy was her calling.

Now, she’s come full circle and joined our Gulfport team—talk about a dream come true!

A Mississippi native, Sophia earned her undergraduate degree from Mississippi State University and her graduate degree from the University of Mississippi. She’s a proud Coastie who loves sunshine, beach days, bike rides, painting, and of course—pizza! ☀️🎨🚲🍕

Her passion for speech therapy began after watching her grandmother regain her voice following a stroke. Now, she’s excited to help children do the same—empowering them with the tools they need to find their voices and thrive.

Last Friday, Kenley Smith, OT and Clinic Director at Beyond Brandon, trained Camp Kamassa’s staff on sensory processing and ways to utilize their new sensory room.
