5 things your Yoga Barre Pilates teacher doesn’t tell you but really wants you to know…
1. Progress is sneaky and often shows up in your life before it shows up in class. Better sleep, less back pain, feeling more grounded - these are all signs your commitment is working. Don’t discount them just because they’re not “before and after” pictures.
2. We can’t stand the “Yoga/Barre/Pilates body” trends. It’s toxic, outdated and misses the point. Yoga/Barre/Pilates isn’t about shrinking you - it’s about expanding your power, your energy, your confidence.
3. We notice when you disappear and we don’t judge you. Life gets busy. Your return means everything. You’re not behind. You’re not starting over. You’re picking up where you left off. That’s powerful.
4. A simple “that felt amazing” or “thank you for a great class” can make all the hours we spend planning and overthinking our classes totally worth it for us.
5. You’re doing better than you think. It might not feel like progress, but showing up consistently, even when you’re tired or distracted, is a massive win. You’re building strength in ways you can’t always see.
