A native of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Dr. Kinyatta Bennett was born in Biloxi and raised in Gulfport, MS where she graduated in 2001 from Harrison Central High School. Following graduation, Dr. Bennett attended MGCCC Jeff Davis campus and then transferred to the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS where she studied Biological Sciences with a minor in chemistry. Determined to achieve her goal of becoming a dentist, Dr. Bennett applied to and was accepted into dental school at the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry. While in dental school, Dr. Bennett also embraced her love for giving back by participating in several missionary trips to help the impoverished in other areas of the world. After years of hard work, dedication and focus, Dr. Bennet received her DMD from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in 2010. Following dental school, Dr. Bennett married her long time best friend and classmate Dr. Christopher Bennett, D.M.D. Founding Healthy Smiles Family Dentistry was a dream and goal for the young couple and both worked tirelessly to achieve it. With the untimely passing of Dr. Christopher Bennett in November 2014, Dr. Kinyatta Bennett has continued to devote many hours toward achieving the dream that she and her husband shared. Through labors of love and hard work, Dr. Bennett opened Healthy Smiles Family Dentistry (dedicated to the memory of Dr. Christopher Bennett, DMD) in Gulfport, MS an area in which Dr. Bennett in which has been practicing in Gulfport for the past 5 years. She is looking forward to continuing her service to the community with the opening of Healthy Smiles Family Dentistry. Dr. Bennett, who is a member of the National Dental Association, American Dental Association, Mississippi Dental Society and Mississippi Dental Association, is known for tending to her patients in a caring and compassionate manner and with a gentle touch. She is the mother of three. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and volunteering. She has a passion for mentoring the youth and volunteers for different youth programs including the Boys and Girls club.

💫 "10 Years of Care and Community Impact"

This year marks a remarkable milestone for Dr. Kinyatta Bennett—10 years of providing compassionate, quality dental care to families across the Mississippi Gulf Coast. A Gulfport native and proud graduate of Harrison Central High School, Dr. Bennett’s journey began right here in the community she now serves.

After earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in 2010, she and her husband, the late Dr. Christopher Bennett, shared a dream to build a dental practice rooted in faith, family, and service.

In 2015, that dream became reality with the opening of Healthy Smiles Family Dentistry – Gulfport, and in 2022, Dr. Bennett expanded with a second location in Pascagoula.

For Dr. Bennett, dentistry is more than a profession — it’s a calling. As she celebrates a decade in practice, her passion, perseverance, and faith continue to inspire patients and peers alike.
