Schedule an appointment with your P*P to discuss your risk and get screened.

What an incredible couple weeks for Dr. Gloria Beim at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy!

As Head Physician for Team USA, Dr. Beim has been at the heart of the action. She’s been busy keeping athletes strong, healthy, and competition-ready on the world’s biggest stage. And in true Dr. Beim fashion, she’s done it all with skill, heart, and even a little creativity (yes, balloon animals included).

We are beyond proud to have her expertise, leadership, and Olympic-level care right here at home in the Gunnison Valley. The same dedication supporting Team USA is the care our community receives every day. 🇺🇸🏔️

Thank you to our SANE nurses for spreading awareness at the Wellness Fest at Western Colorado University last week.

Our SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) program provides specialized, trauma-informed, victim-centered care for individuals who have experienced sexual assault. With advanced training, they are prepared to offer compassionate support, conduct medical forensic exams when appropriate, and connect patients with critical resources.

Thank you to the SANE nurses for continuing to help strengthen awareness and access to care.

Julie Reid, Director of Living Journeys shares our shared commitment to supporting cancer screening in our community.

Through this collaboration with Living Journeys, Gunnison Tough, and the Gunnison Valley Health Foundation, we’re helping remove barriers to preventative care with the Cancer Screening Access Fund. This fund provides up to $2,000 for individuals to get screened for colon, prostate, lung, and uterine cancer. Early detection can make all the difference, and this partnership is a great example of how our community comes together to support health and wellness.

Mental health matters! Last week, two of our leaders facilitated a thoughtful community conversation focused on mental health.

The discussion explored how to recognize when someone may need support, ways to support family members, friends, or coworkers, and how to access professional resources. Around 40 members of our community attended this important event.

GVH's Behavioral Health team can be reached at 970-648-7128. Our Mobile Crisis Line responds to approximately 150 calls each year and is available 24/7 by calling 988.

These wellness events are made possible through a collaborative partnership between Juntos, Gunnison Valley Health Foundation, Gunnison County, CO Government, and GVH.
