Congratulations to our 2026 Medical Pathways graduates!

This week, we celebrated the graduation of our 2026 Medical Pathways cohort. This group of remarkable local high school students spent the last three months immersed in the world of healthcare right here at GVH.

A huge shout out to our HR team for helping make this program a reality. It is one of our favorite things we do. Investing in local students is how we invest in the future of this valley. We are so proud of each of you.

Exceptional care starts with preparation and teamwork.

Our Oncology team recently hosted a hands-on RN Skills Fair, bringing together other departments such as Laboratory and Infection Prevention to practice real-world scenarios and strengthen collaboration across departments, helping standardize best practices across the infusion team.

By training together and preparing for high-risk situations, our teams are better equipped to respond quickly, safely, and confidently.

April is Occupational Therapy Month and we're celebrating the incredible team helping our community get back to the moments that matter most.

So what exactly is occupational therapy? OT helps people of all ages regain the ability to do the everyday activities they love. Whether that's getting back on the slopes after an injury, regaining hand strength after surgery, managing a neurological condition, or helping a child reach important developmental milestones.

At GVH, we are proud to have five dedicated occupational therapists serving the Gunnison Valley:

That’s a wrap on the 2025/2026 ski season!

A huge thank you to our incredible Mountain Clinic team for keeping skiers, snowboarders, and the Mt. Crested Butte community safe all winter long. From sprains and fractures to altitude illness and unexpected emergencies, this team shows up every day ready to provide expert, compassionate care right at the base of the mountain.

The Mountain Clinic will reopen in June for summer adventures, continuing to care for hikers, bikers, and visitors with both urgent and emergent needs. We’re grateful for this team’s dedication to keeping our community and visitors healthy in every season. 💙🏔️

Our first ever Eggstravaganza was an eggstra special day we will never forget!

We cracked open the fun with over 12,000 eggs and they were all gone in a matter of minutes! Seeing so many kids and families come out to enjoy the sunshine with us was absolutely egg-ceptional. This community never ceases to amaze us.

Mental health is health. And in the Gunnison Valley, no one should have to face it alone.

In 2025 the Gunnison Valley Health Foundation contributed over $28,000 toward behavioral health educational degrees, $42,921 in paid internships for behavioral health as well as $16,305 in financial support for clinical licensure for therapists. This funding has helped grow and sustain the team that shows up for our community every day by providing quality access to therapy, psychiatric care, crisis support, school-based clinicians, and so much more. Right here at home.
