👋 Say Hi to Maghan Hansen 👋

Maghan began her healthcare journey right here at GVH back in 1996 and has been a beloved part of our team for over 22 years. After earning her RN from Weber State University, she returned home to serve our patients with compassion and skill — working in nearly every area of the hospital, including the floor, ER, OR, and OB.

Today, she shines in many roles. As a SANE nurse (sexual assault nurse examiner), and a nurse in the wound clinic once a week, and as our Discharge Planner and Case Manager, where she helps patients safely and comfortably transition home after their hospital stay. Her caring nature and dedication make a lasting impact on every patient.

“I truly love what I do!” says Maghan, “It is such a rewarding role – helping patients safely transition home comfortably and feel supported every step of the way!”

Outside of work, she’s all about family, fun, and creativity — cheering on her kids, spending time at Lake Powell and in the mountains, and finding joy in baking, reading, and planning special get-togethers.

We’re so grateful to have her as part of our GVH family — her warmth, teamwork, and love for our community make GVH a truly special place. 💛

🚴‍♂️💪 From Salt Lake City to St. George – 420 miles of grit, teamwork, and endurance!

We’re so proud of our very own Wade Anderson (Physician Assistant), Mike Wanner (Radiology Technologist), KC Caldwell (Respiratory Therapist), and who, along with their friend Connor Reynolds, competed as a 4-man relay team in the Salt to Saint Relay. Each rider pedaled over 100 miles through thunderstorms, late-night stretches, and long climbs to complete the race. 🌩️🌙

Behind the scenes, their strong support crew kept them fueled—meeting up every 5 miles with food, hydration, and encouragement. One memorable moment? When another rider (not part of their team) crashed and broke his collarbone, Wade Anderson jumped into action to care for him, then helped reunite him with his team in Kanab. 🩺🚑

We love celebrating the amazing things our employees do to stay healthy and active, and this was no small feat! 👏 Way to go, team—we’re proud of you!
