Everyone welcome Alexandria Henderson. She will be at our office over the next few months with Alaina!
She is a 2014 graduate of Guntersville High School. She earned her Associate Degree in Science from Snead State Community College in 2015, then attended Auburn University before completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Auburn University at Montgomery in 2019. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a focus on advanced practice nursing.
Since graduating, Alexandria has dedicated her career to pediatrics, serving in several of the nation’s leading children’s hospitals across the United States. Her experiences span caring for children with complex cardiac conditions in intensive care settings to supporting patients and families in post-operative and step-down units. These opportunities have strengthened her skills while affirming her passion for providing excellent pediatric care.
Alexandria is married to her husband, Josh Barhorst, and together they have one daughter. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys reading, boxing, and serving in her church community. She shares often that she is only able to pursue this calling through God’s blessings over her life.
Above all, Alexandria strives to provide compassionate, individualized care to every patient and family she encounters. Her passion for pediatrics and her commitment to service guide her each day as she continues her journey toward her calling as a Primary Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
