Please pray for the family of Dr. Wharton as they mourn the sudden loss of his father, Billy Wharton. He was a pillar in the community and a regular visitor to the office. He will be missed deeply by all who knew him 💔💔💔

Funeral services will be Friday April 10 at Guntersville High School Gym. Visitation from 4:30-6:30 and memorial service to follow at 6:30.

Tanning is caused by exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun or tanning beds that causes genetic damage to cells on your outmost layer of skin. The skin tries to prevent further injury by producing melanin (the pigment that gives our skin its color) that results in darkening – what we call a tan.

This damage is cumulative, starting from the very first tan.

Worldwide, there are more skin cancer cases due to indoor tanning than there are lung cancer cases due to smoking. Be sun safe and smart — avoid tanning! If you want a golden glow, consider sunless tanning products. There are many options that can give you a bronzed look, but you still need sun protection!
