In memory of Tom Parsley, the Parsley family launched a project to provide new treatment chairs at the Marshall Cancer Care Center, hoping each patient and caregiver feels comforted, supported, and less alone.

Their vision inspired our 2026 Giving Tuesday project alongside other generous partners. With additional support from the annual Winter Ball, new patient and caregiver chairs have officially arrived and are now in use, a moment worth celebrating.

These chairs are more than furniture. They represent every story, every gift, and every act of generosity behind them.

One story sparked it. A community carried it. And now, it’s making a difference every day.

This is the ripple effect of generosity.

Why is fundraising for Labor and Delivery Departments so important? While our hospitals already provide exceptional care, philanthropic support allows us to further enhance the experience for mothers, newborns, and their families.

Over the years, this luncheon has united women in support of Marshall Medical Centers’ women’s health services, with a special focus on Labor and Delivery. Thanks to this generosity, we have been able to provide essential equipment such as fetal heart monitors and newborn ventilators, along with meaningful comforts including rocking chairs, HALO bassinets, bereavement resources for families experiencing loss, and upgraded bassinets.

This event exists to fund those additional resources that create a lasting impact for families in our community. We are deeply grateful for the continued support that makes this possible.

The Annual Women’s Health Luncheon will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026.

This special event will bring together nearly 300 women to engage in meaningful philanthropy by supporting the Labor and Delivery Departments at Marshall Medical Centers. Guests will be educated by an esteemed wellness panel and inspired by our keynote speaker, former Miss America 2025, Abbie Stockard.
