Our goal is to provide you with the best possible surgical care in a stress-free environment. To become a specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery requires five to six additional years of hospital and anesthesia training. NorthShore Center for Oral and Facial Surgery (NSCOFS) doctors manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. The area of expertise encompasses a full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and periodontology and includes procedures like Dental Implant placement, wisdom teeth removal, Head and Neck Pathology, Corrective Jaw Surgery, Teeth in a Day procedures, Same Day Smile Makeovers and Limited Cosmetic Facial Surgery.

Before joining our team, he served as Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Joint Base Andrews near Washington, D.C., and even led the COVID testing and vaccination team for the White House — earning a Joint Service Commendation Medal.

Today, Dr. Smith specializes in dental implants, bone grafting, orthognathic and facial cosmetic surgery, helping patients restore both function and confidence. Outside the clinic, he’s a proud dad of four who loves sailing, skiing, and playing guitar. 🎸
