🫁 November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month

This November, we honor fighters, survivors, and loved ones with a reminder that early detection can save lives. A simple low-dose CT scan may find lung cancer at its earliest — when it’s most treatable.

If you or someone you love currently smokes or has a history of smoking, let’s talk about whether screening is right for you. You don’t have to navigate this alone.

🎉 Celebrating One Year of Advanced Wound Care at GMHC!

On November 8, our GMHC Advanced Wound Care Center, operated in partnership with RestorixHealth, marks its first anniversary. In just one year, we’ve provided specialized care to 57 patients with complex, non-healing wounds, helping our neighbors heal faster, avoid complications, and get back to the moments that matter most.

✨ This year, the center was also recognized with two national awards:
• Clinical Distinction Award
• Excellence in Patient Satisfaction Award

These honors reflect the expertise, dedication, and compassionate care our team provides every day — right here, close to home. 🙌

Chronic wounds impact an estimated 10.5 million Americans, a number that continues to rise with an aging population and conditions that slow healing, such as diabetes and vascular disease. Advanced wound care has been shown to speed healing and reduce the risk of infection and limb loss.
