๐ŸŒฆ๏ธ Safety Sunday: Spring Weather Changes

March in Iowa can bring sunshine, rain, wind, and even snow โ€” sometimes all in the same day!

Changing temperatures can create slippery roads and sidewalks. Take extra care when driving, walking, or entering buildings.

โœ” Slow down on wet or icy roads
โœ” Wear shoes with good traction
โœ” Watch for black ice during early mornings and evenings

A little extra caution can help keep you safe this season.

๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ Itโ€™s Pulmonary Rehab Week! Breathe Better. Live Better.

If breathing feels harder than it should, Pulmonary Rehabilitation at GMHC can help. Our program is designed to help individuals with chronic lung conditions regain strength, improve breathing, and enhance quality of life.

Pictured here are Brad and Catie with our Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) machine, which measures how well your lungs are working by evaluating breathing capacity and how efficiently oxygen moves into your bloodstream.

Participants in our program can:

โœ”๏ธ Increase stamina and physical endurance
โœ”๏ธ Manage shortness of breath more effectively
โœ”๏ธ Reduce symptoms and improve daily function
โœ”๏ธ Learn strategies to cope with chronic lung conditions

Whether youโ€™re recovering from a lung illness, managing COPD, or navigating other respiratory challenges, our team provides the tools, education, and support to help you breathe easier and live more fully.

Take the first step toward better lung health โ€” your journey to easier breathing starts here.
